The tag of honest confessions....

  • I don’t need to introduce Kochuthresiamma chechi (I hope she doesn’t mind me addressing her like that) as everyone knows the blogger she is…and when you get tagged or awarded by a favourite blogger of yours it brings even more happiness…That’s what I felt when I got this surprise on Monday morning…

“This award is bestowed upon a fellow blogger whose blog’s content or design is, in the giver’s opinion, brilliant.”“When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to the said person so everyone knows she/he is real. Choose a minimum of seven (7) blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have seven friends. Show the seven random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with Honest Weblog. Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten (10) honest things about yourself. Then pass it on!”

Here goes the tag....

* I rarely give out what I feel deep inside me…I am often blamed to be a closed door person. But I think I have made a lot of progress ever since I started blogging where I took the comfort of talking to people without having any worries about what the person would think about me…

* I cannot stand people who are religious propagandist and that includes all the radical groups who think the sole aim of their life is to indulge in conversions…And I don’t like people who pretend to be religious and at the same time do everything unethical…Rather be yourself!!

* Although I often try to pass off and thought of myself as someone who doesn’t get hurt easily and more of the steel heart variety....I have come at terms with the bitter fact that I do get hurt easily… Whenever I feel emotionally down or let down by someone I need my period of getting to terms with it…It doesn’t happen for me clap and gone…But I always rebound after time after a suitable period of introspection …I am a die hard happiness seeker.

* If there is one thing which I hope I ll never do in future is to flog my child…I don’t believe in the language of sticks…Neither I do believe in the concept of earning respect out of fear…

* I dream a lot…a hell lot more than what a regular psychiatrist might prescribe…;-D

* Would love to repeat the same lines from Pareltank...I am glad I did blog…Though sometimes it brings moments of sadness, on the whole it has been one wonderful experience…esp. for the last three years spending outside India, I feel the blog is almost like an umbilical cord attached to folks back home…Many bloggers have influenced me more than they themselves could imagine.

* Getting older is so uninteresting…The responsibility added with getting mature is sometimes scary.

* I am a fan of Niles Crane, Celinamma aunty and Mother Teresa.

* Its very difficult for me to see face to face with people or even talk to people who were bereaved recently…Its not being rude…I just am not comfortable and really don’t know how to react in such situations….And this happens with close friends or relatives...But strangely I am comfortably giving a helping ear over phone or chat…And I guess I am saving it for the better half of my future life...hehe…

* I am a travel buff…But I always need the right company…its often with great guilt I say ‘NO’ when someone whom I am not comfortable asks me accompany somewhere….Or well to be honest I come up with some reason to avoid saying nay..

Well seems like with this post my average honesty value has increased a lot...LOL!!
I would love to pass on this to Vinu, Ann, Hammy, Thomman, Manju, Deepti and Karthik.

Folk if you want to have some laugh ..chk this.. :-D

I don’t like people who pretend to be religious and at the same time do everything unethical…Liked it...
This is one reason why I'm in doldrums now, re my belief. I was brought up in a God-fearing set up, but seeing whats going on around me I'm afraid I'm now more of an atheist. :(

About travelling, I share the same opinion. I've ruined many great locales bcoz of the contrary company I had. Sleeping all way to the destination and then starting 'modelling' sessions once you reach there... This pisses me off!

Kudos to kochutheriasamma chechi to bring you out of hibernation! Me thinks it is an intelligent way to open you up! :)

Most of us are at a loss of words when it comes to consoling a person in loss. Guess you will learn the trick sooner. The interesting part is the bereaved needs no consolation. They require only your presence. Isn't that strange?

Keep writing!

Those were great honest confessions.
I liked the 3rd one about getting hurt and taking your own time to get out of it...same here but yeah eventually we get out of it and that's what matters.
The 4th one well...mmm...donno much abt that coz now my boy is at the notorious age of 4 he demands to be flogged at times but more than him I cry after that.
Haa dreamer...that's a good one

@kochuthresiamma
hehe..actually that was a poorly worded statement..I actually meant I could be better of as person with the better half...

and thanks a lot for tagging..it helped me get out of a mind block..

@ursjina
hehe..it always happens with me when i read other tags too..;-)

@thomman
da da...why are you being such a horrible reminder..;-D

@Karthik
looking forward to your take...;-)

@Deepti
yeah...it wasnt easy for me either..;-)

@scorpiogenius
am a believer but of a different variety i would say..;-D
luckily most of my travels have been with great company..and hopefully in the coming time too..

@Nona
hahaha..yeah thanks to Kochuthresiamma chechi..actually am glad that she tagged me..me being quite a fan of her..

and what you said is quite true..sometime just the presence would do..

@Sakshi
mm..yeah..I know many times it was my own mistake that i got hurt..but well there is no point in sulking over the past as well..

I think flogging might give immediate results but it leaves a mental scar...ofcoz yes the iron school of thoughts would vehemently disagree with me on this..but I still find it really painful..

I am not sure what they mean by honest revelations. The list seems pretty safe to be revealed anywhere - I mean no pains to be honest even otherwise are there.

Received with thanks...

One award.

And you want honesty. Tut, tut, Mats. Honesty. Not incidents, but facts. True facts on myself online. That typically runs the risk of boring the average reader so much that he'd fall asleep on his laptop, drool into the keypads, and get jolted by electric spurts.

You want the truth. You can't handle the truth. I mean... just ask Jack Nicholson. His face does look jolted by electric spurts these days.

But on the other hand... It's an award. I'll think of something. I'll do it. I mean... what does Jack Nicholson know? He berated Heath Ledger for taking up his final role.

@Jack - Love your work, man, but don't be a defeatist. There might be people who CAN handle the truth.

Of course, the first honest to goodness fact I can post... is that I tend to ramble.

ahem... and by the way...

This time, I DO have an excuse for the delay in responding...

I was out of town for a long time... fieldwork in pune, and have limited computer access these days...

However, will try to post soon..
